My First Megawear 32K: Tough but Worth It

My first Megawear Run 32km was a tough but meaningful experience for me. The route was much harder than I expected, with many parts that really tested my strength and mindset. I struggled at some points, but I kept going and focused on finishing the race. It was not easy, but I learned a lot from the route itself.

My training for this race was not as hard as I planned. Before the race, we experienced an earthquake and Bagyong Tino, which caused many of my long runs to be canceled. Because of these calamities, I was not fully prepared for the demands of the 32km distance. Still, I did my best with the training I was able to complete.

My goal was to finish the race in 2 hours and 40 minutes. However, I finished at 3 hours and 5 minutes, which was slower than my target. I did not get any personal records in this race. Even so, I was happy that I finished strong and enjoyed the route.

This race reminded me that finishing is already a big achievement. Not every race will go according to plan, and that is part of the journey. I will use this experience as motivation to train better and stronger. Next, I will run the Cebu Marathon 42km, and I will try my best to beat my 3:05 time in the 32km.
